Terms of service.

The agreement between you and nineteen78 Pty. Ltd. for using Ghost Writr — plain-language, and binding.

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Overview

Ghost Writr is an autonomous SEO & content-operations service operated by nineteen78 Pty. Ltd. ("nineteen78", "we", "us", "our"), an Australian company. Ghost Writr researches, writes, updates, internally links, and optimises articles for your website, and — with your approval — publishes them to the platforms you connect (for example, WordPress). By creating an account or using Ghost Writr, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you're using Ghost Writr on behalf of a business, you're agreeing on that business's behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Ghost Writr. By using the service, you confirm this is true and that the information you give us during signup and onboarding is accurate.

3. Your Content & Ownership

You own the business information, brand details, and other inputs you give us ("Your Inputs"), and you own the articles, metadata, and other content Ghost Writr generates for your site ("Generated Content"). We don't claim any ownership over either.

To operate the service, you grant nineteen78 a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, analyse, and use Your Inputs and Generated Content — including publishing Generated Content to the platforms you connect and using it to inform future work on your site. This licence exists only to run Ghost Writr for you and ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, subject to standard backup retention.

We do not use Your Inputs or Generated Content to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.

Connected sites & platforms

You must only connect websites and accounts (WordPress, Google Search Console, and similar) that you own or are authorised to manage on behalf of a client or employer. You're responsible for reviewing and approving what Ghost Writr proposes before it publishes, and for your use of those connected platforms complying with their own terms. When you approve an action, you're instructing Ghost Writr to act on your behalf — publish, update, or link — against that site.

4. AI-Generated Content

Generated Content is produced using AI models and is licensed to you for personal and commercial use on the sites you connect. You may not resell, sublicense, or repackage Generated Content as a competing content-generation or SEO service, and you may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the prompts, models, or systems behind Ghost Writr.

AI-generated content can contain factual errors, outdated information, or statements that don't reflect your business accurately. Generated Content is provided "as is." We don't guarantee any specific search ranking, traffic increase, or business outcome from publishing it. You're responsible for reviewing content before it goes live and for any consequences of publishing it.

5. Payments & Billing

Ghost Writr costs $99/month per active site, billed monthly and auto-renewing until you cancel. There's one plan — every site gets identical capability. If you run multiple sites on the same account, a volume discount applies automatically: 3+ sites get 10% off, 5+ sites get 15% off, and 10+ sites get 25% off the per-site price. Every subscription starts with a 3-day free trial: you won't be charged until it ends, and you can cancel during the trial at no cost.

Payments are processed by Stripe, acting as merchant of record for the transaction. Stripe also collects any sales tax, GST, or VAT that applies in your jurisdiction. We never see or store your card details.

You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancelling stops future renewals, but you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for — we don't pro-rate mid-cycle cancellations.

30-day money-back guarantee

If Ghost Writr isn't working for you, tell us within 30 days of your first charge and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked. Email hello@ghostwritr.io to request a refund. Beyond the 30-day window, charges are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Account & Access

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Ghost Writr to:

  • Publish illegal, deceptive, infringing, or spammy content;
  • Manipulate search rankings in ways that violate the guidelines of the search engines or platforms involved (no black-hat SEO — cloaking, link schemes, keyword stuffing, and similar);
  • Connect a website or account you don't own or aren't authorised to manage;
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell Ghost Writr's output as a competing content-generation or SEO service;
  • Abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent limits on our systems or API; or
  • Infringe anyone else's intellectual property or other rights.

We can suspend access for violations of this section, with notice where practical.

8. Intellectual Property

Ghost Writr's software, models, workflows, brand, and underlying technology belong to nineteen78. Nothing in these Terms transfers that intellectual property to you — your rights are limited to using the service as described here and to the ownership of Your Inputs and Generated Content set out in Section 3.

9. Availability & Modifications

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, add to, or discontinue features as Ghost Writr evolves, and we'll do our best to give you notice of changes that materially affect how you use it.

10. Third-Party Services

Ghost Writr connects to and relies on third-party services — including Stripe for payments, Google for search data, and content platforms like WordPress. We're not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of those third parties, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, nineteen78's total liability to you arising from these Terms or your use of Ghost Writr is capped at the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost traffic, or lost data, even if we've been advised of the possibility.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold nineteen78 harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of Ghost Writr, content you approve for publication, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Data & Privacy

How we collect, use, and protect your data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If a dispute arises, we'll both try to resolve it in good faith first. Failing that, it'll be settled in the courts of Australia or, where both parties agree, by arbitration.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continuing to use Ghost Writr after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
